Miami Community is a hub for local residents, businesses and nonprofits in Miami-Dade County. We are an online resource for volunteer opportunities, local events, community awareness and informative articles on local topics.
Our mission is to foster change and provide support to our diverse city by uniting, informing and inspiring the Miami-Dade community.
The vision for Miami Community emerged after our founder, Xiomara Napoleon, saw the need to make it easier and more personal for local Miami residents to be aware of our economic diversity, social judgment and community involvement.
Miami is a very broad city and one thing that makes Miami stand out from any city in Florida is the diversity of our community. Most of Miami’s population is made up of individuals who come from different countries. This has either connected or separated us. Through Miami Community we hope to break down what can divide us and become a bridge that can connect us.
The vision has come to life thanks to our co-founder, Amy Senat and the “community” of people that have come together with the same hope for Miami, along with our amazing past intern and writer, Jennifer Attilus.
